Took over as Director of Payroll Tax of a department with no documentation, no defined processes, and minimal budget. Rebuilt the function from the ground up: a top-to-bottom optimization of MasterTax operations and the UKG Ready integration, plus the compliance reviews, multi-state filing procedures, and operational workflows that turned a failing department into a scalable operation.
Replaced company-wide reliance on email distribution lists for all interdepartmental task management by designing a complete operational workflow platform in Smartsheet at zero additional cost. Every department moved off email entirely. Also identified and deployed Clustdoc as a client onboarding portal, evaluated and implemented without external support or budget.
Designed and led full Salesforce implementation across all departments including sales, implementation, support, HR, benefits, payroll, and tax. Built interdepartmental case flows, metrics dashboards, and at-risk client reporting that gave leadership enterprise-wide visibility for the first time. Also developed UKG Marketplace vendor strategy that created new client retention and revenue share opportunities.
Served as primary technical bridge during high-stakes integrations of proprietary hardware and custom software where internal teams had reached the limits of their capability. Engineered solutions for zero-latency real-time data processing, executed rigorous pre-deployment test plans, and resolved the hardware and software friction points that stopped everyone else.
